We are thrilled to announce an opening for the distinguished role of Head of Art, beginning in September 2026. Founded in 2014, GEMS FirstPoint School is a Premium British Curriculum establishment located in the dynamic community of The Villa, Dubai. The school currently accommodates around 2,000 students from Nursery (age 2) to Year 13, with exciting plans for future expansion.

Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Art lessons that adhere to the British curriculum.
- Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and tailor teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Plan, prepare, and assess student work effectively while keeping accurate records of progress.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning.
- Leverage technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
- Engage in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities, supporting school-wide initiatives and events.
- Consistently uphold GEMS policies, procedures, and core values.
- Maintain open communication with parents, colleagues, and external stakeholders to support student development.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and performance assessments.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Art or a related discipline.
- Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
- Proven strong classroom practice with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to inclusive education and tailored learning strategies.
- Willingness to contribute to the broader school community and promote a culture of professional growth.
