The Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced EYFS Coordinator to lead our Early Years Foundation Stage program. The successful candidate will ensure that our youngest pupils receive a top-quality educational foundation through a curriculum that is engaging, inclusive, and ready for inspection.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic development and implementation of the EYFS curriculum, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and fostering progression.
  • Mentor and coach Early Years educators, modeling best practices and supporting their professional growth.
  • Oversee planning, assessment, and moderation processes to maintain consistency and accuracy within the EYFS team.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment that accommodates all learners, including those with EAL and SEND needs.
  • Engage parents and caregivers in their child’s educational journey through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Assess and evaluate the educational provision, utilizing data to enhance performance and ensure preparedness for inspections.
  • Contribute to whole-school improvement efforts, ensuring that EYFS priorities align with the overall school goals.

Essential Skills & Attributes

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS framework and curriculum development.
  • Proven ability to mentor and support Early Years teachers.
  • Strong dedication to creating inclusive, child-centered learning environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with staff and parents.
  • Experience in monitoring, evaluation, and inspection readiness.
  • A genuine passion for fostering curiosity, independence, and resilience in young learners.
  • Experience in a British international school setting.
  • Familiarity with BSO inspection standards.
  • A creative approach to contributing to school initiatives and events is highly valued.
