About This Role

About the Role:
We are looking for a passionate and skilled English Teacher to join our school community. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching within an English curriculum framework and a successful history of motivating students in literature, language, and critical thinking.

Key Responsibilities:


Create, implement, and deliver captivating English lessons that are in line with the school’s curriculum (e.g., IGCSE, A-Level, or other recognized international programs).


Teach English language, literature, and writing to students in middle and/or high school grades as assigned.


Develop students’ reading, writing, speaking, and analytical skills through a variety of instructional methods.


Assess and monitor student progress using formative and summative evaluations, providing timely and constructive feedback.


Participate in the school’s pastoral system, which may include responsibilities such as serving as a homeroom teacher or academic advisor.


Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student achievement and classroom activities.


Collaborate with the English department and interdisciplinary teams on curriculum development, resource sharing, and school-wide projects.

Requirements:


Bachelor’s degree or higher in English, English Education, Literature, or a related field.


Valid teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, state license, or international equivalent).


At least 3 years of teaching experience in an international or bilingual educational setting.


Knowledge of international English curricula such as IGCSE and A-Level English.


Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive and inspiring learning environment.


Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English.


A proven commitment to professional growth and student-centered teaching.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
*Estimated range based on regional data averages.
