Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, inclusive instruction that meets the varied learning needs of students within the IB and British curriculum frameworks.
•
Collaborate with subject teachers to develop and implement strategies that ensure access, progression, and success for all learners.
•
Effectively use data to monitor student progress and create targeted interventions.
•
Foster a positive and encouraging classroom environment that reflects the IB Learner Profile and GEMS Core Values.
•
Actively contribute to enhancing inclusive practices throughout the secondary school, promoting equity and understanding among students and staff alike.
•
Engage with parents and the wider school community to advocate for a holistic approach to student support.
Requirements
The ideal applicant will possess:
•
A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related initial degree along with a recognized teaching qualification (PGCE/PGDE/state teaching license or equivalent) specializing in English.
•
Preferred advanced qualifications in English, though not essential.
•
A minimum of three years’ experience teaching Secondary English, preferably in an IB or British curriculum setting (not essential).
•
A solid understanding of the IB philosophy and Approaches to Teaching and Learning.
•
Proven ability to inspire, support, and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
•
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
•
Availability to start in August 2026.
