English Language Arts Teacher (High School)

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The English Language Arts Teacher will be tasked with implementing the English curriculum and may also instruct one or two additional subjects as needed.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned by Senior Leaders as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related major, preferably in English, along with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education or an equivalent teaching certification, is necessary, which includes at least 10 weeks of practicum experience.
• Teacher training must be acknowledged by Alberta Education.
• Previous experience teaching English at the middle or high school level is preferred.
• A strong command of the English language, both oral and written, is essential.
• While not required, please indicate any experience with IB or AP programs.
• Preference will be given to candidates who resonate with the values of Christian education.

Effective Date of Employment:

The expected start date for this position is mid-August 2026. The initial contract is typically for two years, with the option for renewal for an additional two years based on mutual agreement.
