Economics and Business Teacher

Socrates Educa International School, located in Salou just south of Barcelona, has a capacity for 800 students and offers a comprehensive educational experience for learners aged 1 to 18+. Position Available

We are currently on the lookout for a Secondary teacher with experience in both national and International Baccalaureate programs for the upcoming academic year beginning in September 2026.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidates will be collaborative team players, innovative educators who can differentiate instruction, and passionate about making economics and business engaging, thriving in a multilingual environment. International experience is essential, and familiarity with the IB program is a significant advantage. This role will also include tutoring responsibilities. Proficiency in Catalan and/or Spanish as well as knowledge of the Spanish curriculum will be advantageous.

Key Qualifications

• Fluency in English, with the ability to instruct fully in authentic English.
• A genuine passion for teaching Economics and Business, inspiring students across diverse ability levels. IB experience is preferred, and the capability to teach an additional subject is a plus.
• Strong ICT skills, particularly with Mac/iPad and educational applications.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education / PGCE / Secondary QTS (BEd / SCITT / School Direct / Teach First) or equivalent.

Desirable Attributes

• Experience as a Secondary teacher for IB and Bachillerato/ESO, teaching students aged 12-18.
• IB trained or willing to undergo training.

Highly Regarded

• Experience with UCAS/D of E.
• Familiarity with the Spanish ESO/Bachillerato curriculum.
• Knowledge of Spanish and Catalan languages.
