Role summary:

Inspired Group is seeking an experienced IB PYP Early Years teacher to become part of the established Primary School at the International School of Siena, Italy, starting in August 2026. Candidates should have experience in teaching IB PYP or a strong foundation in Early Years Reggio-Inspired education.

The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic and innovative educator with a successful track record of enabling students to achieve their potential. We are looking for individuals who possess a genuine passion for teaching, inspiring our students to embrace their educational journey. Team collaboration is crucial, as the role involves working closely within a small yet active Primary School and effectively managing one's own curriculum under pressure.

This position presents a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the growth of our Primary School, with potential Middle Leadership opportunities available for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities:

  • Cultivating a supportive and thriving school community through the implementation of the IS Siena Positive Behaviour Policy, pastoral program, and the school's Mission and Values.
  • Creating and delivering the curriculum for a designated PYP EY grade level, employing the Reggio Emilia Inspired approach.
  • Organizing and leading school outings, assemblies, and other initiatives as required.
  • Working collaboratively with the PYP Coordinator to ensure accurate assessment data that informs strategies for student success.
  • Participating in school development by actively engaging in professional development for staff.
  • Offering an extracurricular activity that complements or enhances the existing programs.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A university degree in a relevant field along with a suitable teaching qualification.
  • Recent successful teaching experience within the 3-5 year age group.
  • A sincere passion for primary education, showcasing the capacity to engage students across diverse abilities.
  • Desirable understanding of Early Years assessment and data tracking to enhance student challenge and progress.
  • Essential experience with PYP and/or Reggio-Inspired learning methodologies.
  • A solid understanding of the importance of personalized learning in an inclusive environment.
  • A commitment to a long-term position.

Compensation
