Students, colleagues, parents, the school Principal, Heads of School, and the Senior Leadership team.
Key Accountabilities:
- Conveying a comprehensive breadth of knowledge, understanding, and skills to students in an engaging manner.
- Instilling a profound respect for truth, justice, equal opportunity, human rights, kindness, and compassion through both teaching and personal example.
- Motivating and inspiring students to surpass their own expectations and prior accomplishments.
- Utilizing in-depth subject knowledge, along with pedagogical and interpersonal skills, to spark students' enthusiasm for learning.
- Maximizing the use of ICT and contemporary technologies to enhance the teaching and learning experience for students of all ages and skill levels.
- Crafting lesson plans that reflect the distinct learning needs, styles, preferences, and abilities of each student.
- Supporting all students in becoming effective, confident, and independent lifelong learners.
- Building strong professional relationships with colleagues by contributing to the continuous improvement of the school.
- Planning and delivering diverse learning opportunities and activities that enrich the core curriculum.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure fair and consistent disciplinary practices in the classroom, throughout the school, and during school trips, while actively safeguarding students from all forms of abuse, including racism, sexism, bullying, and corporal punishment.
- Maintaining regular, open, and professional communication with parents regarding their child’s progress and achievements.
- Upholding strict confidentiality when interacting with parents and external parties.
- Demonstrating integrity in maintaining academic honesty.
- Actively engaging in departmental discussions during meetings.
- Assisting with the organization and implementation of after-school activities as needed.
- Actively supporting the school’s community engagement initiatives, including participation in school/community events, which may occasionally occur on weekends or evenings, such as school concerts.
- Performing any other responsibilities related to the role as reasonably requested by management.
