About This Role
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Christian Life School (Peace River North) is seeking a full-time Junior High teacher for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. As an accredited independent institution, Christian Life School (CLS) serves a vibrant and diverse student population of approximately 150 learners, spanning from Kindergarten to Junior High. Our dedicated staff is committed to inspiring and guiding students to reach their highest potential, encouraging them to venture beyond their comfort zones to achieve academic success and personal growth.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
· Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for it)
· Alignment with our doctrinal statement, mission, and educational philosophies rooted in our Christian faith-based approach and policies
· Flexibility to adapt to various course assignments based on demand (minimum requirement includes a minor in a teachable subject recognized by the BC Ministry of Education at the secondary level)
· Experience in modifying and adapting curriculum to cater to diverse student needs
· Proficient classroom management skills and strategies that foster both an effective learning environment and respect for student dignity
· Commitment to implementing school initiatives and objectives within the classroom setting
· Ability to collaborate with colleagues to create and execute individualized learning plans for students facing academic, social, or emotional challenges
· Openness to participating in a collaborative model with staff for school improvement and professional development
