Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and experienced Art Teacher to become a part of the Art and Design & Technology Department as it progresses into its next growth phase. The ideal applicant should be capable of instructing Art up to at least the IGCSE level, with the possibility of teaching A-Level courses as well.

Key Duties
Teaching and Learning
•
Develop and plan engaging lessons;
•
Instruct assigned students based on their individual educational requirements, maintaining high standards for all;
•
Assign and assess student work, including examinations;
•
Evaluate, document, and communicate students’ development, progress, and accomplishments;
•
Offer constructive feedback to support student advancement;
•
Adjust lesson plans according to student input and performance.
Reporting and Assessing
•
Provide regular reports and grades for students as per the School’s schedule;
•
Identify and support students in need of assistance;
•
Participate in parent-teacher conferences and deliver verbal reports to parents;
•
Supply references for students when requested;
•
Assess and report on prospective students as required;
•
Prepare examinations and assessments for students, including standardized evaluations.
Other Duties
•
Record attendance promptly and notify a senior staff member regarding any concerns about a student’s location;
•
Ensure the classroom remains a dynamic and supportive learning environment;
•
Promote the wellbeing of individual students and all assigned classes;
•
Encourage positive behavior among students;
•
Act on any concerns related to students’ wellbeing, alerting the safeguarding team as necessary and maintaining appropriate documentation;
•
Engage and communicate with students’ parents;
•
Accompany students on school outings and trips;
•
Supervise students and their activities as needed;
•
Lead two extracurricular activities each week;
•
Assist in marketing the School to prospective students and their families;
•
Cover lessons for absent colleagues when necessary.
Secondary School
•
Attend and actively engage in department and staff meetings as required;
•
Contribute to the development plans and schemes of work for the department, and complete tasks assigned by the Head of Department;
•
Serve as a mentor or Sixth Form Tutor for a group of students, providing guidance on educational, career, and social matters, while also leading PSHE lessons.
Professional Development
•
Continue to develop professional expertise through CPD, further reading, and similar activities;
•
Participate in the School’s focused development program and performance management annually;
•
Engage in CPD initiatives organized by the School, such as observation fortnight.
