The Role:
As an Art Teacher within the MYP/DP curriculum, you will inspire and engage students through inquiry-based learning, ensuring high standards in teaching, assessment, and reporting in your subject area. This position calls for an enthusiastic educator capable of motivating students, parents, and colleagues to achieve ongoing success. The ideal candidate will prioritize holistic education, delivering well-resourced lessons while fostering a warm yet challenging environment that upholds every child's right to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver curriculum content, ensuring exceptional teaching and assessment standards.
- Create an engaging and supportive classroom atmosphere that respects students' right to learn.
- Design differentiated lessons catering to the diverse needs of students, particularly within the IB MYP/DP framework.
- Work collaboratively with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance the educational experience.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute positively to the school community.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Art or a related field.
- PGCE with UK Qualified Teacher Status, Bachelor of Education, or SACE.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience is essential, preferably in an IB setting.
- A proven record of achieving outstanding results.
- Professional dedication to successfully implementing an enriched IB/MYP and IB/DP curriculum is preferred.
- Competent IT skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and peers.
- Willingness to engage in extracurricular activities.
- A strong work ethic and commitment to the overall welfare of the school.
