About This Role

ROLE SUMMARY:

St George's International School is looking to hire a Primary Teacher for its Junior School to deliver a comprehensive International Curriculum tailored to the age, abilities, and interests of the students, while upholding the school's positive ethos and core values both inside and outside the classroom.

The ideal candidate will bring experience in teaching various primary subjects, including English (reading and writing), mathematics, science, and humanities.

Teachers will play a vital role in fostering a collaborative environment among teaching staff, non-teaching staff, parents, and board members. We are in search of an outstanding teacher with a minimum of 3 years of experience working with students aged 5–10, who is dedicated to achieving excellence, promoting continuous improvement, and inspiring students.

This position is a fixed-term role (70%) to cover a long-term absence due to sickness. The initial contract will last approximately 6 weeks, with the possibility of extension depending on the return of the current employee.

Participate in parent-teacher/guardian conferences as needed;


Compose reports as requested by the school;


Attend scheduled meetings as per school requirements;


Be available for meetings within the school's timetable;


Provide class coverage when necessary in the absence of a staff member;


Serve as a role model for students and represent the school positively in behavior and adherence to the dress code;


Collaborate effectively and build strong relationships with colleagues and parents;
