We are seeking a highly qualified and talented Chemistry Teacher to join our team in August 2026.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Deliver captivating and effective Chemistry instruction, in line with the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) and other international curricula.


Design and implement engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning styles, utilizing modern teaching methodologies, hands-on laboratory experiments, and technology.


Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, maintaining high academic standards.


Offer pastoral care, promoting student well-being and partnering with the school’s well-being team.


Encourage student participation in extracurricular activities, cultural events, and science-related enrichment projects.


Contribute to curriculum development and initiatives aimed at school improvement.


Foster a positive classroom atmosphere with high expectations for behavior and discipline.


Collaborate with colleagues to exchange best practices and support professional growth.


Communicate regularly with parents and stakeholders regarding student progress.


Stay informed about educational advancements and engage in ongoing professional development.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:


A degree in Chemistry or a closely related discipline, along with a valid teaching qualification.


Experience teaching Chemistry, preferably with familiarity with the IB curriculum (IBDP) or other international programs.


The ability to inspire and engage students, nurturing a passion for scientific inquiry, experimentation, and problem-solving in chemistry.


Strong skills in differentiating instruction for a variety of learners.


Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.


Experience leveraging technology, conducting laboratory investigations, and employing innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning.


A commitment to continuous professional development.


A solid understanding of safeguarding and practices related to student welfare.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
