Position Overview:

We invite applications from enthusiastic AP Chemistry educators who are dedicated to fostering a passion for learning and enhancing the vibrant community at Dubai American Academy, with positions available starting August 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide engaging and interactive Chemistry lessons to students in alignment with the school's curriculum and educational standards.

•
Design and implement innovative teaching strategies that inspire a love for Chemistry and encourage critical thinking skills.

•
Work collaboratively with colleagues to cultivate a positive and supportive learning environment.

•
Ensure seamless continuity in the delivery of curriculum content.

•
Differentiate instruction to cater to the diverse learning needs of students.

•
Promote a positive and inclusive classroom culture that encourages curiosity and exploration.

•
Engage in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open lines of communication with parents regarding student progress.

Successful candidates will need:

•
A Bachelor of Education degree or a relevant initial degree, along with a teaching qualification such as a PGCE/PGDE/teaching license or a Level 5 equivalent specialization in Chemistry.

•
Demonstrated experience teaching High School AP Chemistry, preferably within an American/IB curriculum context.

•
Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and hands-on Chemistry education.

•
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

•
Capacity to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

•
A genuine desire to continuously enhance their teaching practice and provide outstanding learning experiences for their students.
