About This Role

Job Purpose

Ensure a structured and disciplined environment in the elementary school while offering instructional leadership for the school's programs.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Manage the daily functions of the school.
2. Supervise students during all times the school facilities are accessible to them.
3. Educate students on the care and maintenance of school property.
4. Immediately inform parents about any major breaches of duty or school rules by their child.
5. Foster collaboration and teamwork among the school's staff members.
6. Promote the professional development of staff.
7. Oversee, support, and assess all teachers and support staff in accordance with SNA Marianapolis’s guidelines.
8. Advise the Head of School regarding the hiring, promotion, probation, or dismissal of teachers with unsatisfactory performance.
9. Delegate responsibilities to the Assistant Principal, Heads of Departments, Lead Teachers, and Counselors.
10. Ensure the supervision and management of any school activities approved by the Head of School.
11. Assist the Head of School in cultivating strong partnerships with local residents, businesses, and community organizations.
12. Allocate students to their respective classrooms.
13. Designate appropriate spaces for student lunch and prayer.
14. Collaborate with the Registrar to enroll students and maintain accurate daily attendance in line with the Head of School's directives.
15. Create and maintain comprehensive records for each student as specified by the Head of School.
16. Develop a timetable, run the school accordingly, and ensure the schedule and calendar are accessible to students, parents, and the Head of School, along with assigning classes and subjects to teachers.
17. Subject to the Head of School’s review, promote students as deemed appropriate and provide each student with a corresponding statement.
18. Ensure that all student textbooks are those approved by the Head of School.
19. Maintain up-to-date course outlines for all subjects taught at the school.
20. Provide course outlines for parental review upon request.
21. Supply the Head of School with pertinent information regarding the school's conditions, student discipline, academic progress, and any other issues affecting the school's interests, along with any required reports.
22. Attend diligently to students’ health and comfort, ensuring cleanliness, appropriate temperature, and ventilation in the school, as well as the care of teaching materials and the overall condition of school property.
23. Promptly report any suspected cases of infectious diseases or unsanitary conditions to the Head of School and the school nurse.
24. Deny admission or temporarily exclude any individual suspected of being infected with or exposed to communicable diseases.
25. Undertake additional tasks, responsibilities, and duties as assigned by the Head of School.

Job Requirement:
Job Specifications

Education
• A Master’s degree and at least three years of full-time experience in a certified position are required.

Specific Knowledge, Experience
• Competence in problem-solving, data collection, establishing facts, and deriving valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret a wide range of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form while managing various abstract and concrete variables.

Skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong supervisory and leadership capabilities.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the proven capacity to communicate effectively and professionally with educators, parents, and community leaders.
• Excellent organizational skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail.

• Comprehensive understanding of relevant local and national regulations, policies, and requirements.
• Deep knowledge of instructional methodologies.
• Familiarity with best practices in education and educational administration.
• Problem identification and resolution skills.
• Creative thinking abilities.
• Competence in developing, understanding, and applying budgets and financial practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Compensation

$3,700 - $5,700 per month
