Position Overview:
We invite enthusiastic Spanish educators who are dedicated to fostering a love of learning and enhancing the vibrant community at Dubai American Academy, with positions available starting August 2026.
This is a wonderful opportunity for Middle School Spanish teachers eager to cultivate curiosity, inspire excellence, and contribute to the achievements of every student at DAA.
•
Deliver dynamic and interactive Spanish lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
•
Create and execute innovative teaching strategies that instill a passion for Spanish and promote critical thinking skills.
•
Collaborate with peers to foster a supportive and positive learning environment.
•
Ensure continuity in the delivery of curriculum content.
•
Adapt instruction to cater to the varied learning needs of students.
•
Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom culture that promotes curiosity and exploration.
•
Engage in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open lines of communication with parents regarding student progress.
Successful candidates will need:
•
A Bachelor of Education degree or an initial degree in a relevant subject area, along with a teaching qualification such as a PGCE/PGDE/teaching license or Level 5 equivalent in Spanish/MFL.
•
Demonstrated experience teaching Middle School Spanish, ideally within an American/IB curriculum context.
•
Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and interactive Spanish instruction.
•
Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities.
•
Capability to forge strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
•
A commitment to continuous improvement in practice and delivering exceptional teaching and learning experiences for students.
