Position Overview:
We invite expressions of interest from dedicated French educators eager to inspire a passion for learning and enhance the vibrant community at Dubai American Academy, with positions available starting August 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for Middle School French teachers who are committed to fostering curiosity, motivating achievement, and driving the success of every student at DAA.
Primary Responsibilities:
•
Teach engaging and interactive French lessons to students, adhering to the school's curriculum and educational standards.
•
Create and implement innovative and effective teaching methods to cultivate a love for French and encourage critical thinking.
•
Work collaboratively with colleagues to establish a positive and supportive learning atmosphere.
•
Ensure consistency in the delivery of curriculum content.
•
Adapt instruction to accommodate the diverse learning needs of students.
•
Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity and exploration.
•
Engage in parent-teacher conferences and maintain clear communication with parents regarding student progress.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
•
A Bachelor of Education degree or a relevant initial degree, along with a teaching qualification such as a PGCE/PGDE/teaching license or a Level 5 equivalent specialization in French/MFL.
•
Demonstrated experience teaching Middle School French, ideally in an American/IB curriculum school.
•
In-depth knowledge of inquiry-based learning and interactive French education.
•
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
•
Capability to build meaningful relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
•
A genuine desire to enhance their practice and provide exceptional teaching and learning experiences for their students.
