Position Overview:
We invite applications from enthusiastic English educators dedicated to fostering a love for learning and enriching the community at Dubai American Academy, with positions available starting August 2026.
This is a compelling opportunity for English teachers who are passionate about nurturing curiosity, motivating achievement, and aiding in the success of every student at DAA.
• Deliver dynamic and interactive English lessons to students, adhering to the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Design and implement innovative teaching strategies that inspire a love for English while cultivating critical thinking skills.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to foster a positive and supportive learning atmosphere.
• Ensure consistent delivery of curriculum content.
• Differentiate instruction to cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
• Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and curiosity.
• Engage in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open lines of communication with parents regarding student progress.
Successful candidates will need:
• A Bachelor of Education degree or an initial degree in a relevant field, along with a teaching qualification such as a PGCE/PGDE/teaching license or Level 5 equivalent specialization in English.
• Demonstrated experience teaching High School English, ideally within an American/IB curriculum setting.
• Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and practical English education.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to establish strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
