Position Available
St. George's British International School in Bilbao is looking for a passionate, innovative, and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator.
Requirements:
- A Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) along with demonstrable successful teaching experience in the classroom.
- Comprehensive knowledge of SEND best practices, the UK SEND Code of Practice, and evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Experience in coordinating support for students with a variety of SEND needs, including the creation, implementation, and evaluation of IEPs/EHCP goals.
- Ability to lead, mentor, and assist teachers and teaching assistants in inclusive practices and differentiation techniques.
- Skilled in assessing, tracking progress, and interpreting data to promote positive outcomes for students with SEND.
- Outstanding communication abilities, with experience in building strong relationships with families, external agencies, and multidisciplinary professionals.
- Excellent organizational skills, capable of prioritizing tasks, managing caseloads, maintaining accurate records, and meeting statutory deadlines.
- A strong dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
