About This Role

Due to a rise in student enrollment, Al Rabeeh Academy is looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable, and dedicated Secondary Maths Lead Teacher (Suitable for ECT Teachers) to start immediately or in January.

Al Rabeeh Academy, a beautiful, purpose-built institution that opened in August 2017, is part of an expanding network of schools. Since 1979, the Al Rabeeh name has been associated with exceptional education and pastoral care throughout the city. Our academy is a member of British Schools in the Middle East (BSME), offering excellent opportunities for inter-school competitions, tournaments, and professional development.

As a bilingual private school serving students from FS1 to Year 13, we deliver both the English National Curriculum and Arabic. We seek candidates who are committed team players, full of drive, energy, and passion to contribute to the growth of Al Rabeeh Academy, where there may be prospects for internal promotion as the academy expands.

Successful candidates will need to understand the ethos and values of Al Rabeeh Academy, particularly given our high population of Arabic-speaking students. The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator, able to foster open communication with students, staff, and parents. Leadership by example and active participation in the Academy's extracurricular activities are essential.

Applicants must be fluent in English, hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification, and possess at least two years of experience in schools that implement the National Curriculum of England.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate:

• Professional leadership and management of the English curriculum, ensuring alignment with national curriculum standards and school policies.
• Delivery of an appropriate curriculum for students, in line with the school's objectives and curriculum guidelines.
• The ability to inspire colleagues with a vision committed to values, promoting high-quality teaching, efficient resource use, and elevated learning standards for all students.
• Execution of standard teaching duties through an effective teaching program.
• Support for the professional development of educators, enhancing overall teaching practices.
• Oversight of student progress and development in Maths, while serving as a form tutor.
• Promotion of Maths beyond standard school hours and demonstration of comprehensive subject knowledge of the national curriculum.
• Strong classroom management skills, expertise in Maths, and the ability to teach across KS3 and KS4, with an emphasis on 21st-century learning, IT integration, and support for EAL students.
• Experience in teaching A Levels.
• The ability to foster creative learning and develop 21st-century learning environments and innovation skills.
• Confidence in utilizing IT to enhance and extend students' learning experiences.
• Experience in analyzing data from internal assessments and standardized tests, as well as external assessments, to track student progress.
• Essential experience in teaching EAL students.
