Job Summary Anglo Singapore International School is seeking a passionate, academically strong, and experienced Secondary English Teacher to join our Secondary team in Bangkok. The successful candidate will be capable of teaching Cambridge IGCSE English First Language and/or English as a Second Language, supporting students in developing strong literacy skills, critical thinking, and examination readiness. This role is suited to a teacher who values high-quality instruction, clear language progression, and academic rigour within the Cambridge framework. Deliver high-quality English lessons across assigned Secondary year groups. Plan and deliver units aligned to the Cambridge curriculum (including IGCSE where applicable). Teach English First Language or English as a Second Language depending on cohort needs. Support effective differentiation for students with English as an Additional Language (EAL). Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment design, and moderation activities. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support academic growth. Monitor student progress and use assessment data to inform teaching and intervention. Contribute to school reporting cycles and engage constructively with parents when required. Collaborate with department colleagues to ensure coherence, progression, and shared standards across year groups. Participate in professional development, departmental meetings, and whole-school initiatives. Uphold safeguarding practices and ensure student wellbeing remains central to classroom practice. Support co-curricular activities where reasonable and aligned with school priorities. A competitive salary package will be offered, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Bachelor’s Degree in English, Education, or a related field (essential); Master’s Degree is an advantage. Recognised teaching qualification such as QTS, PGCE, or equivalent. Minimum of 2–3 years’ experience teaching Secondary English, preferably in an international or Cambridge-aligned school. Experience with Cambridge IGCSE English First Language and/or ESL pathways is desirable. Experience supporting EAL learners within a secondary context. Strong classroom management and communication skills. A clear commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing, and professional conduct.
