About This Role

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Direct the strategic advancement of the school, ensuring alignment with the EtonHouse philosophy and the maintenance of exceptional standards in early years and primary education.
  • Maintain high benchmarks in teaching, learning, and assessment through robust curriculum leadership, staff coaching, and continuous school improvement efforts.
  • Oversee the implementation of curricula such as IPC, IGCSE, and International A Level, ensuring they are cohesive, challenging, and inclusive.
  • Lead the formulation, alignment, and approval processes for the school’s strategic direction, ensuring that both long-term and short-term plans reflect Group priorities, are clearly articulated, and receive approval from the Board.
  • Execute, monitor, and continually refine the school’s development strategies, assessing progress, identifying emerging needs, and adapting plans to effectively achieve objectives.
  • Provide regular performance updates to the CEO in Singapore.
  • Assist the CEO in Singapore with additional duties as necessary.

Pedagogical and Curriculum Leadership

  • Lead the design and alignment of the curriculum, partnering with the HQ Pedagogy team to provide a high-quality, balanced, and developmentally appropriate curriculum that is consistent across EtonHouse schools, facilitating smooth transitions for students.
  • Ensure outstanding teaching and learning outcomes by guiding staff in the effective application of the curriculum framework, maintaining high pedagogical standards, and monitoring, reviewing, and supporting the quality of teaching throughout the school.
  • Oversee assessment and reporting processes, coaching teachers in tracking, assessing, documenting, and evaluating student learning and development; ensuring assessments are authentic, well-documented, securely stored, and communicated to parents as necessary.
  • Maintain the quality of programs and resources, ensuring alignment with IB PYP Standards and Practices for ongoing accreditation, securing necessary teaching materials and resources, and supporting program development.

Student Learning and Experience

  • Monitor and assess student achievement, progress, and wellbeing, utilizing data to inform decision-making and interventions.
  • Cultivate a holistic educational experience that incorporates co-curricular activities, community initiatives, and opportunities aimed at developing character, confidence, and global citizenship.
  • Acknowledge and celebrate student accomplishments, ensuring a positive and enriching school environment.
  • Foster a caring, connected, and respectful school community where students feel secure, supported, and encouraged in their development.
  • Oversee the admissions process, ensuring new students meet requirements, that all records and documentation are complete, and that child–staff ratios are maintained.
  • Manage student placements, arranging class assignments based on age, friendships, previous placements, and individual learning and developmental needs.

School Culture – Staffing, Wellbeing, and Community

  • Motivate and develop the entire school team, nurturing a positive, collaborative, and energetic work environment while mentoring staff to reach their highest potential.
  • Improve teaching quality through coaching, conducting classroom observations, providing timely feedback, and facilitating ongoing improvement in instructional practices.
  • Promote professional development and performance, establishing clear objectives, evaluating progress, and planning targeted professional development based on identified team needs.
  • Oversee staffing and HR processes in collaboration with the HR Business Partner on workforce planning, leading recruitment and onboarding efforts, and managing staff scheduling, relief coverage, and resource allocation for new programs or classes.
  • Lead and supervise effective safeguarding, wellbeing, and pastoral systems.
  • Build strong relationships with the community.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
