Key Responsibilities
Teaching and Curriculum Delivery
•
Create and deliver innovative, customized, and engaging lessons that adhere to the National Curriculum and the school's educational framework.
•
Ensure all students make significant progress through effective teaching strategies, assessment for learning, and tailored support.
•
Integrate technology and inventive approaches into your teaching methods where suitable.
Classroom Management and Behaviour
•
Foster a positive and organized classroom environment that promotes learning while maintaining high behavior standards.
•
Consistently implement the school’s behavior policy to cultivate a respectful and inclusive learning space.
Pupil Assessment and Progress Tracking
•
Utilize both formative and summative assessment techniques to monitor student progress.
•
Maintain detailed records and use data to inform planning and interventions.
•
Provide regular, constructive feedback to students in line with the school’s assessment policy.
Parental and Community Engagement
•
Communicate effectively with parents and guardians through meetings, reports, and informal updates.
•
Collaborate with families to enhance children’s learning, development, and well-being.
Pastoral and Safeguarding Duties
•
Oversee the pastoral care and safeguarding of students in your class, identifying concerns and following school protocols.
•
Promote the well-being and personal growth of all students through a caring approach.
Professional Development and Collaboration
•
Engage in staff meetings, planning sessions, and school-wide activities.
•
Participate in continuous professional development and stay informed about best practices in education.
•
Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and the wider school community.
Requirements
Qualifications
•
Bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed.) with KY.S.A.T.S accreditation (or a commitment to pursue this).
•
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) from a UK university or a subject-specific degree along with a PGCE (or an equivalent qualification), subject to KY.S.A.T.S accreditation.
Experience
•
Proven experience teaching in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
•
Strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum.
•
Experience with various assessment and differentiation techniques.
