Maths Teacher (Secondary)

This is an outstanding opportunity to assume the position of Maths Teacher (Secondary) at Reigate Grammar International School Kuala Lumpur. Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join our growing team. The main responsibilities of the post will include: 

• teaching Maths at GCSE and A Level; 

• teaching lower secondary Maths; 

• assisting with Maths Department activities as required; 

• assisting with the administration of the department; 

• working as part of a cohesive departmental team and sharing fully in the work of the department; 

• helping to promote and encourage the study of maths at RGSKL. 

Qualifications: 

Essential: 

• A UK or Internationally recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent). 

• A bachelor’s degree in Maths or a related field. 

Experience: 

Essential: 

• Experience working in a British Secondary School, British International Secondary Schools or with the British curriculum. 

• Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience and be able to demonstrate a high level of subject expertise.

Skills, Abilities & Knowledge: 

• Good knowledge of the subject/s being taught and a good understanding of GCSE/A-level requirements.

• Effective classroom management with an ability to manage the class and resources effectively to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. 

• Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students, as well as collaborate with colleagues, parents, and other stakeholders. 

• Competence in assessing student progress, using data to inform teaching, and providing constructive feedback to support individual learning needs. 

• Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.
