The Role:
As a Mathematics Teacher for the MYP/DP curriculum, you will engage and inspire students through inquiry-based learning, upholding high standards in teaching, assessment, and reporting within your subject area. This position calls for a dedicated educator who can motivate students, parents, and colleagues to achieve ongoing success. The ideal candidate will prioritize holistic education, deliver well-resourced lessons, and advocate for every child's right to learn by fostering a supportive yet challenging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver curriculum content while maintaining exceptional teaching and assessment standards.
- Cultivate a nurturing and engaging classroom that supports students' right to learn.
- Create differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, particularly within the IB MYP/DP framework.
- Collaborate closely with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance the educational experience.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the overall well-being of the school community.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Mathematics or an equivalent subject.
- PGCE with UK Qualified Teacher Status, Bachelor of Education, or SACE.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of demonstrated teaching experience is essential, preferably within an IB school.
- A proven track record of achieving outstanding results.
- A professional commitment to effectively implementing the IB/MYP and IB/DP curricula is preferred.
- Competent IT skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Willingness to engage in extracurricular activities.
- A strong work ethic and a dedication to contributing to the overall welfare of the school.
