About This Role

The British International School Riyadh (BISR) is a highly esteemed, non-profit co-educational institution located in the Middle East, serving students aged 3-18 across seven campuses. Since its establishment in 1979, the school has provided exceptional education to the expatriate community. BISR is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and recognized as a British School Overseas (BSO). The school is also a member of several prestigious organizations, including the British Schools of the Middle East (BSME), the Association of British Schools Overseas (AoBSO), the Heads Conference (HMC), and the Council of British International Schools (COBIS). It follows an English curriculum that is significantly enhanced by both local and international influences. The learning experience is comprehensive, supported by a wide range of enrichment programs that include extracurricular activities, student leadership, service learning, and residential trips. Additionally, there is strong pastoral care dedicated to student well-being.

The 'Al Hamra re: imagined' initiative aims to revitalize the current Al Hamra campus.

In collaboration with the leading educational architects, Education Design International (EDI), Al Hamra will become an outstanding campus that complements our other Riyadh locations. Refurbishments will continue throughout the 2025-2026 academic year, with student enrollment capped at approximately 450-500 from FS1 to Year 9, typically with two classes per year group. Upon completion, the school will accommodate around 1200 students (four-form entry), offering various educational pathways, including BTECs for upper-level students, alongside traditional A Levels and GCSEs.

We are seeking exceptional teachers and support staff dedicated to making Al Hamra a resounding success. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to our REACH values (Respect, Excellence, Accountability, Challenge, and Happiness) and possess the enthusiasm to ensure that our community feels welcomed, challenged, and successful. In return, we provide an opportunity to work with wonderful students in excellent conditions (including competitive salaries and benefits), promising career advancement, professional development, and the chance to be involved in this exciting project.

We encourage applications from qualified and experienced candidates, including couples and families.
