Job Overview

The IB PYP Homeroom Teacher will play a vital role in the initiation and implementation of the Primary Years Programme at Tirana American International School (TAIS). As part of the founding team, the ideal candidate will assist in creating a dynamic inquiry-based learning environment consistent with the IB curriculum's principles.

TAIS is being developed as a pioneering eco-campus in Albania, offering an innovative educational experience that integrates learning with nature, sustainability, and modern international standards.

Working closely with the PYP Coordinator and school leadership, the teacher will support the programme's implementation during the candidacy phase, aid in developing Units of Inquiry, engage in collaborative planning, and cultivate a positive, student-centered classroom atmosphere.

Qualification & Experience Requirements

  • A certified educator with expertise in primary education
  • Familiarity with or a strong enthusiasm for the IB PYP
  • Understanding of inquiry-based and student-centered learning methodologies
  • Exceptional classroom management and communication skills
  • Experience in an international school environment is preferred
