Position Overview:

We are looking for passionate Physics educators dedicated to nurturing a love of learning and enhancing the community at Dubai American Academy, with openings available starting in August 2026.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for IB Physics teachers committed to fostering curiosity, inspiring success, and enriching the educational experience of every student at DAA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and interactive Physics lessons that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
• Develop and implement innovative and effective teaching strategies to foster a passion for Physics and enhance critical thinking skills.
• Collaborate with colleagues to cultivate a supportive and positive learning environment.
• Ensure smooth delivery of the curriculum content.
• Adapt instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Encourage a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes exploration and curiosity.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences and maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress.

Successful candidates will need:

• A Bachelor of Education degree or a relevant initial degree combined with a recognized teaching qualification such as a PGCE/PGDE/teaching license or Level 5 equivalent specialization in Physics.
• Proven experience teaching High School Physics, preferably within an American or IB curriculum setting.
• Strong understanding of inquiry-based learning and practical Physics instruction.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A commitment to ongoing improvement in teaching practices to deliver outstanding educational experiences for students.
