About This Role

Windsor School, a coeducational day school situated in New Providence, The Bahamas, is on the lookout for a full-time teacher specializing in French and Spanish to join our team for the 2026–2027 academic year. We invite dynamic, imaginative, and adventurous educators who are eager to contribute to the development of our comprehensive seven-year, progressive, mastery-based language curriculum.

Position Overview

At Windsor, language instructors typically handle 5 to 6 classes, equating to around 15–18 hours of direct instruction, along with a similar amount of prep time. Teaching assignments will range from Grade 6 to Grade 10.

For the upcoming 2026–2027 school year, the selected candidate is expected to teach:

  • 2 French classes (mainly focused on middle school)
  • 3 Spanish classes (primarily aimed at upper school)

What We Are Looking For

The preferred candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Education, French, Spanish, or a related discipline
  • Prior teaching experience, ideally at the middle or high school levels
  • Native or near-native proficiency in French or Spanish, coupled with a genuine passion for the language and its cultural richness
  • A strong enthusiasm for engaging with middle and high school students (language teachers will work across various grade levels)
  • Creativity and adaptability in lesson planning, utilizing authentic resources instead of conventional textbooks: This encompasses games, videos, music, and interactive activities that foster student engagement while adhering to clear structure and educational objectives
  • Proficient technology skills, with regular use of Google Classroom and associated digital platforms
  • A positive, collaborative attitude and a readiness to work closely with colleagues, along with a sincere commitment to contributing to school life beyond the classroom, including participation in clubs, lunchtime activities, and community events
