About This Role
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Christian Life School (Peace River North) is on the lookout for a full-time Elementary teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year. As an accredited independent school, Christian Life School (CLS) caters to a diverse group of around 150 students ranging from Kindergarten to Junior High. Our dedicated staff is committed to motivating and guiding students to reach their full potential and to step beyond their comfort zones in pursuit of new academic achievements.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
· A valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for one)
· Alignment with our doctrinal statement, mission, and philosophies that support our Christian faith-based education and policies
· Flexibility to adapt to various course assignments as required, with a minimum of a minor in a teachable secondary subject recognized by the BC Ministry of Education
· Experience in modifying and customizing curriculum to meet the needs of students
· Strong classroom management skills that promote an effective learning environment while maintaining student dignity
· A commitment to incorporating school initiatives and goals into classroom activities
· Ability to collaborate with colleagues to design and implement individualized learning plans for students facing academic, social, or emotional challenges
· Willingness to work together with staff on the school improvement plan and participate in professional development opportunities
