Our mission is to foster a supportive and engaging learning environment that inspires both students and educators.

Duties and Responsibilities: As a Literacy Catalyst, you will play a crucial role in promoting literacy efforts and engaging a diverse array of individuals in reading and writing activities. Your collaboration with educators, community organizations, and families will be essential in creating and implementing programs that spark a love for reading and improve literacy skills across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities:
· Develop and implement engaging literacy programs and workshops tailored to various age groups and reading levels.
· Collaborate with schools, libraries, and community organizations to promote literacy events and initiatives.
· Provide training and resources for educators, parents, and volunteers to support literacy development.
· Conduct assessments to identify literacy needs within the community and customize programs accordingly.
· Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages participation in reading and writing.
· Utilize data and feedback to evaluate program effectiveness and make necessary enhancements.
· Advocate for literacy initiatives within the community and raise awareness about the importance of literacy.
· Stay informed on the latest literacy research and best practices to continuously improve programming.

Qualifications:
· Bachelor of Education Degree
· Valid Professional “A” Teaching Certificate
· Preferred understanding of Saulteaux Culture or a willingness to learn
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Commitment to innovative and adaptable teaching methods to address diverse student needs
· Ability to work effectively in a team and engage with the community

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
