About This Role
Abdulrahman Kanoo School Diyar (ARKS) commenced operations in August 2022 and is the second independent school established by the Abdulrahman Education Group (ARKEDU), which is the only educational group in Bahrain with aspirations for local and regional growth, currently running two distinct schools. Our late founder, Mr. Abdulrahman Jasim Kanoo, envisioned making education accessible to all within the Kingdom. ARKS features a newly constructed facility that began with an initial cohort of 220 students ranging from Nursery to Year 5. Following the British curriculum, we now serve over 650 learners from Nursery to Year 9. Our plans for expansion include adding an additional year to our Lower Secondary School, aiming to accommodate up to 1,000 students from Nursery to Year 10 by the academic year 2025/26.
Central to the school’s philosophy are Environment, Sustainability, and Innovation, alongside providing students with access to four multi-functional sports courts (approved by FIFA and FIBA). The facilities are integrated into the curriculum, as we believe that learning through these resources significantly enriches the educational journey for our students, offering them valuable hands-on experiences to apply classroom knowledge and cultivate practical skills. As the only school in the Kingdom offering conversational Mandarin, we prioritize a leadership team focused on student support, identifying and addressing gaps in local, regional, and international contexts. We consider various factors, including curriculum, teaching methods, infrastructure, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities, seeking to enhance our unique offerings or improve existing programs. As part of our Education Group, both student and staff well-being are paramount, reflected in our comprehensive Well-Being Curriculum and dedicated breakout days that emphasize stress management, health, work-life balance, and team building.
