About This Role

Byron College is in search of a dedicated and experienced Key Stage 2 Primary Teacher to become part of our nurturing and collaborative Primary team.

This position is well-suited for an educator with a comprehensive understanding of the British National Curriculum who is enthusiastic about delivering exceptional teaching, fostering student growth, and thriving in an international school setting.

The Role
The individual selected for this role will:


Provide exemplary teaching and learning experiences for Key Stage 2 students


Design engaging and well-organized lessons that adhere to the British National Curriculum


Utilize assessment tools effectively to guide instruction and facilitate significant progress for every student


Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere


Aid in the development of students’ skills alongside their academic success


Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and promote shared practices


Engage with parents effectively to support students' progress and overall wellbeing


Make a positive contribution to the broader school community

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

Qualified Teacher Status with an appropriate UK teaching credential


Extensive experience teaching the British National Curriculum, ideally in Key Stage 2


Strong subject expertise and effective classroom management skills


High aspirations for student performance and conduct


A dedication to nurturing the whole child, including their personal and social development


Excellent communication and organizational abilities


A professional, collaborative, and reflective mindset


Experience in an EAL-rich or international environment is preferred

Important Notes:

For Greek Applicants - You must possess a relevant degree and have completed the registry of teachers for private schools (Epetirida), or have the qualifications to do so. Please be aware that international qualifications are not recognized as qualified teacher status for Greek candidates in Greece.

For International Applicants - You must have a relevant degree from the country of your passport, along with a relevant teaching qualification from the same country. UK applicants must hold QTS with a Department for Education Teacher Reference Number. Please note that the iPGCE is not currently recognized in Greece, and language qualifications such as TESOL & DELTA are not accepted.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
