About This Role
Socrates Educa International School, situated in Salou south of Barcelona, has the capacity to accommodate up to 800 students and is dedicated to providing an inclusive and comprehensive education for learners aged 1 to 18+. As the inaugural institution utilizing the Socrates Educa model, it represents an innovative pedagogical approach expected to expand to additional schools in the future.
Our thriving English / Spanish / Catalan trilingual school offers a variety of educational programs, including Pre-school, Primary, Secondary, the National and International Baccalaureate (IB), as well as the US High School Dual Diploma, all with a strong international focus. Additionally, we provide Chinese as a foreign language. Our curriculum is rooted in the local educational framework but is enriched by the diverse perspectives of our global teaching staff, with instruction primarily conducted in English.

We are currently seeking a Secondary Maths teacher with experience in both national and International Baccalaureate programs for the upcoming academic year, commencing September 2026.
Ideal candidates will be collaborative team members who are innovative and creative, capable of differentiating instruction in the classroom, making Maths engaging, and excited to work in a multilingual setting. Previous international experience is required, and familiarity with the IB program is advantageous. The role also includes tutoring responsibilities. Knowledge of the Catalan and/or Spanish curriculum is a plus.
Key Requirements for all applicants:
Proficiency in English, with the ability to teach entirely in authentic English.
A passion for Maths and the ability to inspire students of varying abilities in the classroom, with knowledge of the IB framework.
Strong ICT skills (experience with Mac/iPad and educational apps).
Bachelor of Education / PGCE / Secondary QTS (BEd / SCITT / School Direct / Teach First) or equivalent.
Experience as a Secondary teacher for IB and Bachillerato / ESO, ages 12-18.
IB trained or willing to complete IB training.
Highly beneficial:
Experience with UCAS / D of E.
Familiarity with the Spanish ESO / Bachillerato curriculum.
Proficiency in Spanish and Catalan.
