Curriculum Overview

Doha British School follows the National Curriculum of England, tailored to reflect the cultural heritage and values of Qatar. We offer a seamless learning experience from Early Years to Sixth Form, merging academic excellence with exceptional pastoral care and a focus on personal development.

The DBS curriculum is designed to be engaging, enriching, and challenging at all stages, combining academic rigor with leadership, creativity, and a sense of global citizenship.

Ideal candidates must possess:


A recognized educational degree, such as a Bachelor's in Education or an equivalent qualification.


A validated teaching qualification like a PGCE or QTS along with an Early Career Teaching Certificate (the PGCE must be endorsed by a relevant bachelor’s degree).


Outstanding subject knowledge, supplemented by significant experience teaching the National Curriculum of England.


Experience in teaching IGCSE, AS/A Levels, and the International Baccalaureate (IB).


Demonstrated excellence in delivering high-quality teaching and learning.


A strong commitment to engaging with the broader school community through extracurricular initiatives.
