Job Description
EtonHouse International School is seeking a Music Teacher to deliver engaging music lessons to primary students. The ideal applicant should also be capable of taking on a teaching role.
•
Collaborate with children, teachers, and the EtonHouse community to create enjoyable and educational music and movement activities that enhance learning through student-led inquiries.
•
Provide children with various opportunities for self-expression and discovery through songs, lyrics, and movements that align with the curriculum, as well as music related to performance themes.
•
Hold regular meetings with class teachers and the curriculum coordinator to share ideas and make connections to ongoing inquiries.
•
Maintain high standards of teaching practice and professionalism.
•
Engage in ongoing professional development and share the role of Music Teacher with the school community.
•
Document children’s learning and link it to the curriculum, including portfolio entries, newsletters, and community display boards.
•
Oversee and enhance primary school resources and materials for the Music program.
•
A Diploma in education with a focus on music, or a diploma/degree in music, or a Diploma in Music Performance/Speech & Drama.
•
Proficiency in both spoken and written English.
•
Additional Benefits: Proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument and/or basic qualifications in Education/Primary School Teaching.
