SEN Teaching Assistant

Yas School is on the lookout for a talented SEN Teaching Assistant to become part of our team starting in August 2026 for the academic year 2026-2027, or sooner if possible.

Established in 2015, we are the largest single-campus K-12 government school, catering to over 1750 boys and girls on our expansive campus.

In your role as a SEN Teaching Assistant at Yas School, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education and care to students with determination by fostering a safe and inclusive school environment where every student can realize their potential.

You will be instrumental in enabling students to flourish as capable global citizens while celebrating and reinforcing the UAE’s heritage and Emirati identity.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include ensuring that both teachers and students of determination (SEN) receive adequate support to facilitate their teaching and learning in a secure, nurturing, and inclusive setting, as well as implementing effective interventions to enhance academic achievement and progress.

The ideal applicant should possess:

• Certificate IV in School Based Education Support or a related field, or a Diploma in Education or a related discipline
• Proficiency in English (evidenced by a minimum IELTS score of 6 or an equivalent qualification)
• Bilingual abilities (English & Arabic) are highly valued
• UAE Administrative Check and a non-offender clearance
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar Teaching Assistant role [OR a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Education]
