About This Role

About the School:

As The Royal Grammar School Guildford, Qatar (RGSGQ) continues to expand, we are seeking to hire an exceptional Science Teacher (Chemistry and/or Physics) for our Secondary department. Join one of the leading British International schools in the Middle East.

RGSGQ has established a robust partnership with RGS Guildford in the UK, a distinguished independent school known for its long-standing tradition of delivering outstanding education. We also maintain strong connections with our global network of sister schools.

The RGS Guildford, Qatar is an all-through British institution providing a co-educational British curriculum for students aged 3 to 18. Our curriculum includes the English Early Years Foundation Stage, the National Curriculum at Key Stages 1, 2, 3, and a diverse selection of IGCSE courses at Key Stage 4. For Post-16 students, we offer various AS levels. The school is well-regarded for its high standards in teaching and learning, complemented by excellent sports facilities, including an astro turf, a sports hall, and an open-air swimming pool.

Values and Vision:

At RGSGQ, we are dedicated to equipping our students for the demands of an ever-evolving global landscape while laying strong foundations for their ambitious aspirations in higher education and beyond. Our educators focus on fostering essential transferable skills that prepare students for any path they choose: critical thinking, independence, creativity, resilience, self-motivation, collaboration, and the ability to thrive as both leaders and team members.

Our enduring School Values—inclusivity, scholarship, integrity, respect, tenacity, and service—are woven into both the academic and extracurricular fabric of the school, ensuring that RGSGQ students develop into humble, grounded, and principled individuals. Our aim is to empower them to seize every opportunity and positively impact others. RGSGQ provides a traditional British pastoral framework and a wide array of extracurricular activities while upholding a culture of high expectations and academic success for all students.

Successful applicants must have:

• A recognized teaching qualification, such as a B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent (the PGCE must be accompanied by a subject-relevant Bachelor's Degree)
