William Morris School, part of Novalis Trust, is a charity that supports children with Neurodevelopmental Difficulties. Youth Support Workers are pivotal in creating and supporting tailored activities for young people. As a Youth Support Worker your personality and creativity will be key in shaping and helping children pursue personal aspirations.
Responsibilities for this role include
· Encouraging young people to engage in a variety of clubs and offsite trips.
· Planning, organising, and running half term programmes.
(All of which promote social development)

Salary £27,771.36 (39 wks pa) (FTE £33,040.80) with option for overtime.
Fixed 2-week rota to include one weekend day per fortnight.

The role is for 39 wks pa term-time with the option of 52 wks working the school holidays at our sister school based in Minchinhampton
Requirements for the role
The role would ideally suit someone with previous experience in sports coaching/ young people’s mentoring/ performing arts/creative activities; or who holds a qualification in Psychology/Sports and Exercise /Sports Coaching/ Youth and Community/Working with Children & Families.
Successful candidates will have
A motivated, creative, and empathetic approach
Enthusiasm to work with and support the development of young people
Ability to plan, lead and participate in activities with young people
Confidence to contribute and collaborate with the youth support team and wider care team
A keenness to learn and implement Trauma Informed Practice
Previous experience in working with children and young people is desired
Driving licence – desired
