About This Role

GHARS International School is on the lookout for a motivated and creative Computer Science Teacher to become a part of our distinguished faculty. Are you ready to inspire our students with a passion for digital technology, guiding them in mastering Computer Science for both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4? This position is available for an immediate start, so please apply only if you can commence by February 2025.

Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring alignment with our curriculum standards and national requirements.
- Cultivate an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages students to investigate and excel in Computer Science.
- Employ a range of teaching strategies and resources to address various learning styles, promoting active engagement and critical thinking.
- Integrate practical applications and projects into the curriculum to enhance students' understanding of the significance of Computer Science.
- Evaluate student performance through regular formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to facilitate continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to exchange ideas, develop interdisciplinary projects, and enrich the Computer Science curriculum.
- Maintain open lines of communication with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of student progress and fostering strong home-school connections.

Requirements:
- Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent credential, along with a degree in ICT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Exhibit proficiency in teaching Computer Science at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 levels, with a solid grasp of curriculum frameworks and assessment standards.
- Demonstrate familiarity with current ICT trends, tools, and technologies, including programming, digital literacy, cybersecurity, and multimedia applications.
- Show a genuine enthusiasm for developing students' digital skills, creativity, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Commit to ongoing professional development, staying informed about the latest trends and best practices in ICT education.
- Desirable: Experience in ICT-related extracurricular activities such as coding clubs, robotics competitions, or digital storytelling projects.
