About This Role
We're looking for a passionate mathematics teacher of all levels from Year 9 to Year 13, as well as an ability or willingness to teach NCEA and CIE.
The successful candidate will join a well-led team of committed professionals who enjoy working collaboratively and continually improving their teaching practice. An applicant with an interest in statistics and a strong background in NCEA statistics would be advantageous.
Qualifications and experience
- Teaching degree (at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent) with a current NZ registration with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
- Legal eligibility to work in New Zealand
- Strong ability to use initiative to solve problems, find efficiencies and introduce new ideas
- Ideally experience in a secondary school

- Demonstrates ability to communicate to parents, teachers, Head of Departments, School Counsellors, and students in a diverse community
- Demonstrates commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi partnership
- Ability to develop a learning/ pastoral environment that fosters creativity and excellence
- Collaborates and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of people
- Proven ability in mentoring and coaching students, prefects, and student leaders
- Provides high quality, evidence-based reporting ensuring opportunities, risks and preferred recommendations provide guidance for good decision making
