To join our team in August 2026, we are looking for a well-qualified and talented Teacher of Key Stage 3 Science, with experience in international or UK-based curricula.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Science instruction at Key Stage 3, aligned with the school’s curriculum framework.

  • Plan and execute dynamic lessons that promote scientific enquiry, experimentation, and critical thinking.

  • Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments, ensuring high academic standards.

  • Provide pastoral support, promoting student well-being and collaborating with the school’s well-being team.

  • Encourage student involvement in extra-curricular activities, science clubs, and enrichment opportunities.

  • Contribute to curriculum development and school improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain a positive classroom environment with high standards of behaviour and discipline.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support professional development goals.

  • Engage parents and stakeholders through regular communication about student progress.

  • Stay current with developments in science education and participate in ongoing professional development.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A relevant degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field), plus a valid teaching qualification.

  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 (experience in international or UK curricula preferred).

  • Ability to inspire and engage students, fostering curiosity and enthusiasm for Science.

  • Strong skills in differentiating instruction for diverse learners.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.

  • Experience using technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning.

  • Commitment to continuous professional development.

  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and student welfare practices.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
