About This Role

Queen’s College is a thriving, highly successful international school based in Palma. We are an oversubscribed, academically ambitious school offering both the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and A Levels side by side.

We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and enthusiastic Chemistry Teacher, with the potential for Second in Department responsibility for the right candidate. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking academic team in a school that values both innovation and tradition.

The successful candidate will teach Chemistry and another science at IGCSE and Chemistry IB Diploma level, with the possibility of teaching A Level in the future. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative environment, where high standards and a shared commitment to student success define our culture.


Person Specification

  • A good honours degree in Chemistry or Science with Chemistry – Essential

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for secondary education – Essential

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a UK secondary school – Essential

  • Proven success with IGCSE and IB exam results – Essential

  • Strong knowledge of the English National Curriculum – Essential

  • Experience in an international school setting – Desirable

  • Right to work in the EU – Desirable but not essential

  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English – Essential
