Job Description:

Teaching, Learning and Assessment

•
Design and execute a curriculum aimed at boosting student confidence and skills in Geography, inspiring a passion for learning, and equipping them for success in the Cambridge international examinations.

•
Foster critical and creative thinking in students through inquiry, observation, and hands-on experimentation.

•
Provide written assessments for each student, including reports for parent meetings and references for future educational opportunities as necessary.

•
Maintain comprehensive records tracking each student’s learning journey.

•
Conduct productive parent meetings, preparing detailed evaluations of student progress and showcasing relevant examples of their learning experiences.

•
Collaborate with co-teachers to address individual student requirements and plan daily curriculum effectively.

Interact with students in a positive, supportive, respectful, and open-minded manner while promoting and adhering to the school’s conduct guidelines.

Assist with duties such as supervision and cover as required.

Arrive on time for lessons and tutor sessions, ensuring students are dismissed at the appropriate times.

Monitor student attendance during lessons and follow up on absences as necessary, coordinating with colleagues regarding concerns about specific students.

Develop and implement departmental syllabuses and schemes of work for each teaching group in line with the relevant curriculum for their year group.

Prepare lesson materials and assess student work following Cambridge standards, departmental guidelines, and school assessment policies.

•
Assign and assess home learning tasks according to departmental and school policy, maintaining high expectations for individual student outcomes.

Who are we looking for:

A Bachelor of Education or higher from an accredited institution.

•
At least 2 years of teaching experience in subjects such as Geography.

•
A commitment to working in an educational environment that emphasizes academic rigor and teaching excellence.

Experience with an IB Programme, Cambridge IGCSE, and A Level is preferred.
