Key Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver engaging lessons that align with the Cambridge curriculum, promoting a global perspective while partnering with a national Portuguese teacher to integrate English language learning.
- Evaluate student progress and provide ongoing feedback to aid in their academic and personal growth.
- Cultivate an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that values diversity and advocates for bilingual or multilingual education.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to enhance student learning experiences and overall well-being.
- Work closely with the national Portuguese teacher to develop interdisciplinary lessons that address the diverse educational needs of our students.
- Participate in and contribute to professional development initiatives and school-wide programs.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in education or a related area, along with a valid teaching certification.
- Proven experience teaching the Cambridge curriculum at the primary level.
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a national Portuguese teacher.
- A commitment to professional growth and a passion for integrating language learning into the curriculum.
