Parent Support Advisor

The successful candidate will be a flexible, tenacious individual who works well both independently and as part of a team. Emotional intelligence is crucial, as is an ability to work with people from all walks of life, in a non-judgmental manner. The successful candidate will:

• Be qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a related discipline
• Have experience of working within the community, particularly with children and their families
• Have a strong knowledge of safeguarding and either been, or possess the desire to be, a safeguarding lead
• Have the ability to have challenging conversations with parents but be able to maintain a professional and approachable manner at all times
• Have excellent communication skills including the ability to make good use of ICT • Have a strong commitment to multi-agency working

Experience of safeguarding, carrying out family-based assessments, working in a multi-agency manner and delivering training to parents would be advantageous. Training will be available for the successful candidate as well as the opportunity to network with other Parent Support Advisers within the ECM trust.
