About This Role
Position Overview
We are seeking a committed and proficient Mathematics Teacher to join our team, delivering engaging and high-quality instruction in MYP and slight DP Mathematics. The perfect candidate will adapt lessons to meet the varied needs of our students, foster a deep comprehension of mathematical concepts, and enhance the overall academic success of our institution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons that adhere to the MYP and slight DP Mathematics curriculum, focusing on the development of critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Differentiated Instruction: Tailor teaching methods and materials to address the diverse learning preferences, strengths, and abilities of all students, ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential.
- Curriculum Planning: Design and implement detailed lesson plans that correspond with the MYP/DP Mathematics framework, assisting students in establishing a solid understanding of essential mathematical principles.
- Assessment & Evaluation: Create, administer, and assess a variety of assignments and examinations to monitor student progress, offering timely and constructive feedback to both students and parents.
- Student Support: Provide extra help through additional lessons, one-on-one tutoring, and mentorship for students needing further assistance.
- Collaboration: Work alongside the Mathematics Department and other educators to develop interdisciplinary units and projects that enhance student learning experiences.
- Extracurricular Engagement: Lead and participate in extracurricular initiatives such as math clubs and other related events.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional learning to remain updated on the latest developments in math education, IB methodologies, and technology integration.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field is required.
- A teaching certification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, teaching credential) is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience teaching mathematics at the secondary level, with a strong ability to adapt lessons for diverse learning needs.
- Experience with MYP and DP Mathematics is a plus.
- Comprehensive understanding of the IB MYP and DP curriculum and assessment practices.
- Capability to inspire and engage students, nurturing a love for mathematics and cultivating a positive classroom environment.
- Outstanding organizational, communication, and classroom management skills.
- Proficient in using digital tools and technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Fluent in English (C2 level).
- Passionate about mathematics and dedicated to assisting students in reaching academic success.
- Eager to customize lessons to suit the diverse needs of students and promote appreciation for the subject.

Working Days/Hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Recruitment Process:
- Panel interview with the hiring team (30 minutes).
- Trial lesson (60 minutes).
- Interview with the Head of School, Secondary Principal, and Faculty Leader (30 minutes).
