Learning Support Teacher (Pipeline- 2026/2027)
About This Role
Location: Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou, Chongqing, Qingdao, Tongxiang, Yantai, Hongkong.
The Learning Support Department (LSD) is made up of specialists in EAL, SEN, and counseling who work together to improve our students' educational experiences. While collaboration is essential within the department, each professional will also have specific duties that correspond with their expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review the records of new students to identify any SEN-related concerns.
- Provide in-class support and/or withdrawal assistance for students with identified SEN needs.
- Support staff in developing the curriculum and implementing classroom activities.
- Assist in adapting assessments as needed.
- Offer examination assistance for SEN students as required.
- Design professional development programs centered on SEN for all staff members.
- Help develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Conduct informal assessments to ascertain learning requirements.
- Liaise with parents on behalf of teachers regarding students' academic progress.
- Share effective learning strategies and available resources with students.
- Carry out classroom observations to identify and monitor SEN students when necessary.
Qualifications/Skills:
- A Bachelor's Degree with relevant qualifications in Counseling, Special Education, or a related educational discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of full-time teaching experience in an educational setting.
