About This Role

Job Description

  • Provide an inclusive and engaging learning environment underpinned by evidence-based best practice.

  • Using transdisciplinary and conceptual approach, deliver a curriculum that is challenging, relevant and significant, based on English National Curriculum.

  • Demonstrate ability to teach design and technology along with coding for primary learners, integrated with the inquiry units.

  • Establish and maintain authentic, respectful and positive relationships with students, families and colleagues where social, cultural and religious diversity is valued.

  • Differentiate the curriculum to cater for a diverse range of learning needs.

  • Attend and contribute to meetings as required.

  • Work collaboratively to create and review Individual Education Plans as required.

  • Maintain planning documents identifying specific learning objectives, differentiated tasks and assessments.

  • Monitor and document student progress.

  • Utilise technology, to enhance student learning outcomes.

  • Organise and maintain a tidy, well-organised classroom and encourage students to take pride in their learning environment.

  • Be responsible for all aspects of classroom management, including supporting the academic, social and emotional needs of all students in a positive and pro-active manner.

  • Engage in professional dialogue and work collaboratively with colleagues, sharing expertise and respecting confidentiality.

  • Be an advocate for student wellbeing, supporting a culture of safeguarding and child protection , and reinforcing the school-wide commitment to keeping students safe.

  • Reflect upon own professional practice to ensure an understanding of contemporary research and best practice.

  • Participate in Professional Learning and appraisal procedures for the purpose of personal, professional and career development.

  • Share in the management of pastoral care, health, welfare and behaviour of all students and in particular, those within your designated class group.

  • Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Principal.

Qualifications

  • The candidate should hold a minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Education or equivalent, or a Bachelor Degree in a subject followed by a PGCE, which is obtained from a recognised University or College.

  • At least 2 – 5 years relevant professional teaching experience. Inquiry based teaching experience (with IB or IPC) preferred.

  • Applicants must provide original copies of their Certificates and academic transcripts for authentication.

  • Immediate availability is an advantage.

Compensation

£30,000 - £45,000+ (Regional Equivalent)
