The Role

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and managing the English department, ensuring high-quality curriculum planning and delivery
• Monitoring standards of teaching, learning, assessment, and student progress across the department
• Supporting, mentoring, and developing English teachers through coaching and professional development
• Ensuring effective use of assessment data to inform planning and raise attainment
• Contributing to whole-school initiatives and working collaboratively with senior leaders
• Promoting a positive reading, writing, and oracy culture across the school
